I am trying to finish some homework and needed a little breather. This is my last semester of school- and it hardly seems real since I've taken a million breaks since I started my first year of school. I don't regret any of those breaks because I've learned a lot about myself. Nannying on the east coast taught me to be patient and more loving. Mission in Brazil taught me everything about myself, I built such a good relationship with my Savior, and helped me become more selfless, caring, and understanding. Taking some crazy time off to move to Utah to date Jeff and marry Jeff I learned that love really is crazy and I love my crazy love. With all that said..
I really have been having so much fun in my classes. All but one-- Backend Development- It's horrible. Trying to finish online for the past year and a half has it's ups and downs- I've really missed having the interaction you get from being on campus and sharing input and collaborating with schoolmates and professors, so I'm trying to play catch up in that sense for the past couple of months. I can't believe I have less than a month left-- I get to move back to my husband and my home April 11. It can't come soon enough! I tell everyone- if Jeff were with me- school would be perfect. It just stinks not being able to hang out like normal couples. But I am so blessed having my parents here and my brother and his family to hang out with!
These pictures were taken for my last project in Advance Typography. We read "As a Man Thinketh" by James Allen and then designed a poster using experimental typography. What moved me most from the book was the quote "CALMNESS IS POWER". There is so much strength we can gain by taking a break from the hectic world and observing our thoughts and actions to find beautiful power in the world around us, but most importantly- power in ourselves. With my design- I wanted people have to do the same thing interpreting my poster as they would do in life to gain power in being calm.
I etched clear plastic and photographed the etched quote on a white poster to achieve this serene look.
My sister-in-law, Mellissa, was my sexy model.
